2009 Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco

5 12 2008

21-24 May 2009

Monaco hosts the best known sporting spectacle and one of Europe’s premier social highlights of the year: The Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco.

Organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco,  the Grand Prix is 77 laps around the narrow, winding streets of Monte Carlo, with little room for driver error, making this Grand Prix the most dynamic test of driver skill in the World.

Widely touted as one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world,  alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (with which it forms the Triple Crown of Motorsport), the history, spectacle and glamour of the Grand Prix de Monaco is the  “The Jewel of the Formula One Crown”.

The Faux Socialite© Note: The best place to view said race is from the Hotel de Paris or the Place de Casino…if you can score a rezzy!
